May 24, Saturday (May, 2025)
- Breakfast with the Fischers
- Miriam chooses our schedule and we go first to Nauset Beach – one single stream of dark clouds in the sky – find a beautiful seashell that Miriam picks up and gives to her parents – starts raining on us so rush back
- Drive to Brewster and get sandwiches – starts raining again and I eat alone at the table
- Drive along route 6A, stop at candy shop that’s lacking salt water taffy – then go to wildlife preserve for view of distant lighthouse
- Find another candy shop in Hyannis – including fudge
- Drive by Kennedy complex, then another lighthouse – again rush back to the car before rain
- Drive by my mother’s old college house before heading back to Airbnb – everyone takes a short nap
- Go out to dinner at seafood place by the water – long wait for the table so sit by the beach until rain starts to come (again) – get table and have the heat lamps turned on – three bowls of clam chowder today instead of sharing one
- Back at house and drink wine and chat before bed
